Ice 'art' and northern lights

A few photos from the last weeks. Some from a short walk along the coast west of Tromsø, where there was little snow, but some interesting ice features. And a few attempts at photographing northern lights. These were only very quiet displays; there was a much more spectacular display earlier this week with a beautiful corona, but, unfortunately, I didn't have my camera ready. It has now finally started to snow again with snowstorms coming and going in the last few days.

A sheet of ice on the beach. The previous 2 fotos were close-ups of this ice sheet.

There were quite a few overflows (it had rained while the ground was still frozen), some with interesting icicles.

Quiet northern lights over Kvaløya.

And some northern lights over our neighbours.
